Apr 10, 2015 · How does the Oracle linux support cycle looks like? I can only find "support levels". But what about "end of support" for Oracle Linux versions. I guess for major versions it is 10 years? But what about minor versions? Does minor versions, such as 6.0, 6.1, 6.x go "end of life" (like they does on RHEL), if so when?

Mar 01, 2016 · Oracle Linux is not licensed at all. It's free to download, use and distribute at no cost. Oracle Linux Support is priced per physical server. So count up the number of blade servers you have and that's now many machines you need to support. If you only have 2 sockets, you can chose the lower-priced Limited option.

Oct 31, 2013 · That's a good question. Oracle VM does not include Oracle Linux support. So if you run Oracle Linux on Oracle VM on, say a 2 socket server, then you would purchase 1 oracle linux premier limited or oracle linux basic limited subscription and 1 oracle vm server limited subscription.
