Feb 02, 2014 · First, I love you guide, I have read it a lot to understand Orianna, my fav champ so far :). I've been in LoL for 3 months, still a noob, but I play a lot of support Orianna, and I love it. Is very fun, and, as you say, you can decide the fate of a team fight and the game.

If you're playing Orianna right in mid lane, you'll get more assists than kills and end up deciding the fates of entire teamfights. Really, I feel like taking her as a bot-lane support has potential, but is difficult to pull off.

A good support really needs 2 things, good peel and a good engage/disengage. Orianna can't really peel for her marksman, and her engage is not the same without the damage, this considering you have support items -crucible and the like- means you don't really bring enough to the table to make it a pick. All of this is my advice for solo queue.

The big issue with support Orianna is that she suffers from the Leona Syndrome. You have to choose between initiating a fight for your team, or protecting your ADC. You can't do both.

So this patch grail was changed to give 5 AP per every 25% base mana regen you have. I tested this on another game as Orianna support and it did very well in lane with the shielding and slow from w, only down side is mana cost is hefty early on. So after getting four items all with mana reg

You'd have been laughed at if you said that Annie was a good support before the Season 3 world finals, but after Tabe brought her out she became the best support to the extent that Riot even chose to nerf her. Is Orianna just not FOTM as a support yet, or are there serious issues holding her back that I just haven't thought of?

I personally love to pick Orianna as support. Her Shield may not be the best in the game like Janna’s, but it’s cast range is quite enormous! I usually go for coin route to supplement mana problems. Since we’re talking Ori support, you’re job is to protect the ADC with E and land ults, your job is not to just be a mid lane sent bot!

Aug 20, 2012 · Well the thread is the last time they changed Orianna, i can't remember well which patch was maybe Jayce or Zyra, anyway they nerfed her Q (command attack). In my opinion this nerf turned Orianna into a full 100% support champion, because now its even better to set up her combos by using ur E (command protect), than using Q.
