Oct 14, 2018 · Note the right hand side of the the Applications listing when selected says if you have PowerPC, Classic, Intel, or Universal. PowerPC & Classic indicate PowerPC only. Classic indicates it only runs on a PowerPC with Mac OS 9 running in the Classic environment. or booting into Mac OS 9. Apple Store online no longer carries Mac OS X 10.6 Server.

Oct 29, 2013 · Power PC applications are not supported in Lion (10.7) and later. Find alternatives that use modern-day coding (that would be Inter or Universal applications), or maybe create a partition for an older version of OS X (you would need to own a copy of the older OS you choose; Snow Leopard (10.6) would probably be a good choice).

Jul 31, 2016 · Apple stopped supporting those types of applications when they transitioned to Lion which was 6 years ago. OS X: Application icon has a prohibitory sign, or "PowerPC applications are no longer supported" appears - Apple Support. See this for some background info

Aug 23, 2014 · I have an old version of Adobe Creative Suite 2.3, which I have been running on my original MacPro until it died last week. I have a new MacPro, but when I try and install Adobe Creative Suites 2.3 I get the message "you can't open the application "Adobe Installer" because PowerPC applications are no longer supported.

Apr 11, 2019 · Another fix is to run that game on a Mac that is running Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6.8) or older. Apple dropped all support for the older PowerPC software with OS X 10.7 and later.

Jan 28, 2012 · I installed Lion on my mac book pro (Bought it legally). Now, I cant use any PowerPC applications because it is no longer supported. Now I cant use apps like "Visual Boy Advance". So the message I get when I double click it is "You can't open the application VisualBoyAdvance because PowerPC applications are no longer supported.".
