I've received a few emails over the past several months inquiring about QTP10s Firefox browser support. Rather than answer each one individually, I thought it would be better to frame my reply in the form of a quick post. So what versions are supported? QTP10 only supports the following Firefox versions: Supported versions:

QTP should now see the objects in your Firefox browser. In case the object is still identified as Window, make sure your firefox version is supported by the current QTP version – using QTP v11 with the QTPWeb_00090 and QTPWeb_00092 patches installed, you should be able to interact with all the Firefox versions up to version 11.

It sounds as though QTP 11 has the necessary patches for newer versions of Firefox. QTPWEB_00090 adds support for 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. QTPWEB_00092 adds support for FireFox 9 and 10. Unfortunately, I don't think users of QTP 10 are in luck.

Mar 26, 2013 · The problem now is that Firefox is all the way up to version 19 now (at least on my machine at work) and I cannot use that version with QTP 10 to prove that "QTP 10 works with Firefox". I've used QTP 11 in previous company so I know what you are talking about when it comes support on later versions of Firefox. I hope this answers your question.

QTP 11 trial dump comes with a Product Availability Matrix (PAM). It can be used to check QTP 11’s built in support for various applications, browsers, operating systems.
