If you need support for Windows 8 and/or for IE 10 on Windows 7 you must go with UFT 11.52. HP is reluctant to provide a Windows 8 update for QTP 11.0. QTP 11.0 does support Windows 7 with IE9 and lesser IE versions, for 32 and 64 bit, with appropriate QTP patches.
