A: Due to all the new features and enhancements in RapidWeaver 8, projects created with the version 8 or not backwards compatible. If you open an existing RapidWeaver 7 project in RapidWeaver 8 it will create a copy of the project and save it as a new document. This prevents RapidWeaver 8 overwriting you old RapidWeaver 7 projects.
