It makes sense, but the "configure" script itself has no problem detecting the APR, but it doesn't seem to use it if I set CC and CPP before running configure. However, if I don't set CC and CPP then it seems to replace the term "gcc" with "aprutil", when trying to compile within "configure".

Apr 18, 2010 · Also, ActiveDirectory is an LDAP at the end of the day. RedHat just started their own LDAP server with the old Netscape sources a few years ago. I agree that getting started with LDAP when you are only used to relational databases is a real pain. On top of that, a lot of software with "LDAP support" is pretty bad at it.
