I just wanted to chip in that I have the same issues with Firefox 54.0.1 and Roboform 8.3.7.7. I also experienced the same unhelpful support from RoboForm. Its a shame that these "extension" changes have been made. Previously Firefox and Roboform was a good combo for me.

The RoboForm Start Page will not work with Chrome, Firefox, and Edge if RoboForm version 7 or prior is installed. RoboForm Browser Addons / Extensions will no longer support v7 data used within Chrome, Firefox, and Edge. After that date, RoboForm will only sync from accounts with version 8 data. These are also known as OneFile accounts.

Jun 23, 2017 · If not, here's the answer: starting with the recently issued Roboform 8.3.7, the RoboForm extension will no longer include a full static toolbar above the content pane of Firefox. Instead, you get a button with a message that reads ("Click this button to show RoboForm commands") with a vertical menu, similar to how Roboform works in Chrome.4.9/5
