Dec 28, 2007 · Hi, It is true that the sun Java Communicatios API does not support windows. I myself use the rxtx library, which can be downloaded from www.rxtx.org The website is not the best in the world (too hard to read), but the API provided is fine, and follows the Sun Java Communication API, so you can use examples from the sun API that should work with the rxtx API. hope this helps

May 30, 2007 · Hi, I am trying to write an interface between a microcontroller that must be connected over the RS232 using COM1 in Windows. I installed the COMM API and I also went thru the SimpleWrite / SimpleRead codes. Before connecting to the microcontroller board I wanted to test the voltage levels of the data that I am sending over the Tx pin of COM1.
