Jun 10, 2011 · file size won't change after editing I'm using FreeBSD 8.2, ZFS ACL and Samba 3.5.8 and I have a problem. With Samba 3.5.6 was the same. I create a file and after editing the file the size won't modify until I press F5 (refresh).

Jul 11, 2017 · Configuring Samba has never been one of my favourite things. This is just a quick recipe setting up Samba on FreeBSD with a dedicated ZFS filesystem that uses ACLs. It is set up for a single user, where the user gets full control over all files. It can be adapted to support more users by using groups, and configuring permissions / ACLs for that.

Setting ACLs on ZFS Files. As implemented with ZFS, ACLs are composed of ACL entries. ZFS provides a pure ACL model, where all files have an ACL.
