An Indy or O2 is a great intro to SGI/Irix. If you're looking for something a little less expensive, you may look to an Indigo/Indigo2. You might even look for an SGI Octane/Octane2. The Octane systems can scale higher than the Indy/O2, but they're very proprietary and not Linux friendly which tend to make them less popular from what I can tell.
