It would be great to have ShoreTel switches to support T.38 so we can fax over the VOIP system. (FOIP - Fax Over IP). We are a non profit healthcare org and this would help a lot on our budget and make ShoreTel even more useful than it already is.

When using the FF240-IP, use the T.38 protocol when possible. If the ShoreTel switch does not support T.38, then use the G.711 Pass Through configuration. Jul 30, 2015 · We're basically using old POTS lines now run into the front of ShoreTel 90s, but by my logic they must pass through our 24a and T-1 ShoreTel switch on the edge of our network out to whereever they're going, causing the high failure rate due to their lack of support of T.38/other codecs.
