I'm curious about the cases which are being classed as "many other websites we use do not, yet, support Edge."Those don't sound cutting edge to me--unless they are deliberately excluding it--in which case maybe Edge (or IE11) could be used there with a UserAgent string override.

Oct 19, 2008 · Yeah, one should be ashamed to use a seven year old browser, but many big companies have IT departments that move soooo slow. If you are building a new site today, I would stay tough bananas to anyone using IE6. It won't be worth your pain to support IE6. Once IE8 is out, I would cancel support for IE6 for existing sites too.

I can’t decide whether to ditch IE6 support or not (most of the design bugs are IE6 only and as you can guess, are an utter pain to get sorted). I’m fairly confident the student audience won’t be using IE6 but the employers, I’m not so sure. If you’re a designer or developer, do you still support IE6?
