Aug 17, 2011 · Sibelius 7 is a pre-beta junk pile. a) sounds - horrible b) layout/Ux -- completely childish. this crap SCREAMS a windows app c) performance - forget it. I have a 4GB Mac Pro that runs Pro Tools fine -- and it just slugs. Nothing but spinning wheels and crashes since I installed 3 hrs ago. d) flow - well, nothing to be said.

Sibelius 7.5.1 is a free update for Sibelius 7.5 owners. It contains a lot of bug fixes. I believe you can still download the updater from the Sibelius website, even though the newest (paid upgrade) version is Sibelius 8.01. – user1044 Nov 15 '15 at 13:12

Recently I purchased VDL and The Write Score and created a template within Sibelius that will allow the percussion writers that I work with to use VDL, allowing us to share .sib files back and forth. Since that time I have experienced severe pitch problems on playback of my scores. I have scoured the forums at Sibelius and I don't find this to be a common problem with Sibelius users.
