I select the Activate Raft option in Skeinforge and Support Cross Hatch but will not print the support unless I also choose add Raft, Elevate Nozzle, Orbit. Am I missing somehting or do I have to have Raft with Support?

Skeinforge has a support material option that many people don't use, but it actually works quite well if used correctly. It isn't perfect, but it can make a big difference in some prints. At the bottom of the "Raft" tab, there are a few support options. "Support Cross Hatch" - If checked prints support layers in an alternating cross-hatch pattern.

Want to change the flow rate. Do it. Want to have different settings for the support material vs. the supported material? Check! Want to create some raft material? Go for it!!! Unfortunately you need a PhD in Skeinforge to figure out how one setting will affect all of the others.

When the Mixed Material Support checkbox is selected, the Support Material Extruder setting will be ignored. If you have Support turned off, you can ignore the support settings here.
