Jan 16, 2018 · There is one Oracle lifecycle pdf which says Solaris 10 Premier Support would end on Jan 2018 and extended support would be there till Jan 2021. Please let me know if it is true and whether there would be separate contract for extended support and what difference will it make.

Feb 06, 2012 · Support for sun4u systems, with the exception of M-Series systems, has been removed from Solaris 11. Your V490 is not supported in S11. You can use Solaris 10 however but pay special attention to the licence agreement regarding the use of Solaris 10 when you do not have a support contract.
