Not only are there the "does it or does not play X" questions you have, you should be aware that some parts of Sony are pretty consumer hostile (Cinavia is an example of this) and if you buy one of their players, you may find that it will refuse to play your BluRay discs unless you regularly update the firmware to support crap like Cinavia.
