May 09, 2018 · Thanks for A2A. SATA 3 has transfer cap of 6Gbps and SATA 2 has transfer cap of 3 Gbps. So when you connect a HDD or SSD from SATA 3 to SATA 2, you'll see that there's a difference in speed of your data transfer. Hope this helps..!?
