Dec 17, 2015 · Sony DVD Optiarc drives don't work in Windows10. They did work in Windows 7. Microsoft is silent. Any fixes? ... For optical drives, the driver support is provided by the Microsoft operating system. In other words, optical drives are supported natively by Windows. Consequently, you should not need a separate device driver.

Aug 10, 2016 · Hi guys, I really need help! I upgraded my Sony VAIO VPCEH35EN to Windows 10 and my cd/dvd drive sopped working. It shows up in device manager and in This PC but when you try to open it it says, 'please insert disk into cd/dvd drive' and ejects. device manager says the driver is updated and the device is working, which is not true.
