May 02, 2013 · I'm finding this absolutely hard to believe, but from everything I'm reading, Symantec Backup Exec still doesn't support Windows Server 2012? I just got done migrating about 2TB's worth of data to a new Server 2012 file server.

This would support VMWare 5.5 and installation of BE 2012 as a media server on Server 2012 Operating System. As for BE 2010 R3 supporting VMWare 5.5 we (Tech Support) don't have information if this would be done or not.

I have written off Acronis and now using Trial version of Symantec Backup Exec 2012 on a temporary server (Windows Server 2008 R2) to get some offsite backups working, the remote agent works okay on the older servers, server 2003 etc, but has compatibility issues when installed on Server 2012.
