Apr 15, 2011 · The RSS feed web part is inherited from Data View web part that has AJAX function. However, RSS feed web part does not implement this function. Jan 18, 2014 · Hi All, I need to create an RSS feed viewer in the sharepoint page from an external site (Service Now) in which authentication is needed. I tried adding the OOTB RSS viewer webpart and found out that in our environment they are not allowing authenticated RSS feeds.

If not your RSS WebParts will not work. External RSS feeds will work fine on none Kerberos enabled web applications.
