Pursuant to the Spousal Support Advisory Guidelines (SSAG) when a spouse separates, if their age at the date of separation plus the number of years they have cohabitated equals 65 or over they are entitled to receive spousal maintenance for an indefinite period of time.

However, that obligation could be terminated in the future if you commenced cohabitation or for multiple other reasons, as such it is best to consult with a lawyer to obtain better information as to what may impact an ongoing obligation.
