Dec 22, 2010 · It will be the wrong version, as Windows 2003 has the non-Unicode version in c:\windows\system32 which we can not replace. When our COM server is intialized, one DLL is dependent on DBGHELP.DLL. Since DBGHELP.DLL was loaded earlier, and it was the non-Unicode version, we get the classic SymInitializeW not found.

Jun 06, 2015 · The link is right - if you are using the Windows Debugging Tools, it uses its own version of dbghelp.dll which is not the same as the default one for XP. If you need that one, I have that too. There is a copy of the general purpose XP SP3 file on my SkyDrive you can download - here's how:

with V8 and XFA support are bigger, but support more features. Also, the V8 version does not support Windows XP so if you need support for Windows XP, you need to choose one of the libraries that does not contain V8 support.
