Jun 13, 2012 · "Your CPU does not support long mode. Use a 32bit distribution." The hosting server supports the "lm" flag in /proc/cpuinfo. But it seems that the "lm" CPU flag is not available within the virtual machine, also the machine is marked with 64-bit. I think RedHat Enterprise EM64T should work inside a virtual machine.

Nov 24, 2016 · This issue occurs if the VT option in the BIOS of the ESX server is not enabled. However, if the option has been enabled but you are still encountering the issue, check if the ESX is a standard machine that is on the hardware check list (HCL).

Oct 03, 2011 · I run a Host Windows7 32-bit OS I’m trying to run a Guest VM of FreeBSD 8.2 amd64 64-bit – I run this VM on my desktop at work no problem, but that’s running Win7 64-bit Host, but I was under the impression I could run a 64-bit guest on a 32-bit host as of the recent versions of VirtualBox.

Mar 14, 2018 · To make it more unusual I was not able to mgirate VMs only from host 02 to others but was able to migrate VMs online between 01 and 03 and so on. So it definitely was related to host 02 itself. ... VMware support didn’t even catch this, they just said enable EVC mode, but I couldn’t b/c of the different ESXi versions. ...
