    The Tile needs to be within the Bluetooth range of approximately 100 feet of the iOS or Android device to be discovered. This is where the Community Find feature comes in to play. If any Tile community member running the Tile App comes in range of a Tile, their App will send an anonymous update of that Tile's location to our system, helping the owner to locate that item even if they are not nearby.

To text, tap the gear icon on the top right corner of your Tile app. Once you are on the Settings screen, tap on “Contact Customer Care by SMS” under Premium to begin texting.     Make your search party even bigger! You can share each of your Tiles with one other email address, or you can subscribe to Tile Premium and share with unlimited people! Sharing a Tile means you and someone you trust can both update the Tile’s location, ring the Tile, look for its last known location on the map, and ask to be notified when the Tile is found.

    Your Tile’s battery is guaranteed to last one full year. After that, the battery can be replaced (on Tile Mate and Pro only). For even greater peace of mind, batteries can be sent to you every year at no additional cost as a perk of being a Tile Premium member!. For Tile Slim and the original Mate (or if you just need to replace all of your Tiles at once!), you can opt-in to our reTile program.

How to transfer a Tile – Tile Support

    The Tile is now successfully transferred! Remember, once you complete the Tile transfer, that Tile will no longer be connected to your account. If you previously shared this Tile with other users, they will also no longer be connected to that Tile.
