Oct 01, 2019 · I really have 2 problems here related to ramfs/tmpfs lacking in direct IO support (or whatever ImDisk is doing as well). My first problem is the length of time in takes to copy disk images from my SSD’s to ramfs/tmpfs which I’ve previously noted was about 2 GB/sec but using ImDisk I’m getting speeds of up to 13.7 GB/sec.
