Jan 20, 2006 · When i try to use TMPG and MainConcept Encoder to try and encode my avi files to mepeg2 files it says there not supported and i cant import them? Any one know what the problem is? Ive noticed these two programs have been recommended for avi to mpeg encoding on these forums so i dont why they wont support AVI's Stew

Oct 02, 2003 · I have a XViD avi file with sound as AC3. As far as I know, TMPGEnc cant load a Audio file that's AC3, so I took the sound apart from the movie and TMPGEnc wont load XViD avi . . .

Jul 31, 2003 · [bold]12. TMPGEnc see's the video input but wont load the audio![/bold]-----This simply means TMPGEnc cant support the audio on the input file! If it is ac3 audio then that is the reason as TMPGEnc doesnt support ac3 audio. Get gspot and check what codec is needed for the audio, if its ac3, refer to the articles section of this site!

Sep 25, 2004 · "I changed the AVI VFW Compatibility Reader to a priority of 1. That didnt help.." Try doing this with the directshow VFAPI instead of the AVI VFW. This should allow TMPGEnc to open anything that WMP can open, but I would suggest putting things back to normal when you're done.

I recently rebuilt my computer due to my hard drive failing. After installing TMPGEnc 3.0 Xpress, I have been attempting to encode an AVI file from my digital camera. After adding the file to the project, TMPGEnc will hang (not responding). This is normally when I see the dialog regarding the field order.
