Nov 16, 2010 · Re: Transmission Line support? Hmmm. A high taper ratio may or may not be the best bet. I don't know in this case because I know nothing about the driver. IME the higher the driver Qts, the higher the ratio you can use. That said, I have built straight MLTL's for a bunch of drivers and had no problem with ripple.

Re: Transmission Line support? Stuffing is your friend and stuffing is your enemy. As stated above, you need some stuffing to reduce the pipe harmonics. Over stuffing will change the speaker's damping characteristics. If you start with an overdamped alignment, then overstuffing will eat bass.
