Jul 05, 2012 · This is UDP-specific. If another tracker is added with a HTTP protocol, it will work, even when the UDP connection is not working. I actually thought that the problem was that Transmission itself did not support UDP trackers at all.

The UDP tracker protocol is a high-performance low-overhead BitTorrent tracker protocol. It uses the stateless User Datagram Protocol (UDP) for data transmission instead of the HTTP protocol (over TCP) regular trackers use.
