May 05, 2011 · The only time I ever see issues occurs when a file is directly being modified at the time of backup. Just having a file open does not prevent the backup from occurring. Windows on the other hand, completely locks the file when it is open so no other application (including TSM) can even access the file.

Dec 12, 2005 · Right now TSM does not support OFS (Open File Support) On Windows 2003. Period. I have run into all kinds of issues with it. "supposedly" IBM will support it in hte next client release but that does not help any of us now.
