AMD 3200+ processor with 1GB of RAM and a bizarre assortment of franken-hardware. I could have done this on 8.10 but I prefer to stick to the long term support releases.

Install TOra via APT from Repository There is a package in universe repository but there are no additional info id it's available with Oracle support. If you're using Ubuntu, TOra could be install trough APT or Synaptics Package Manager, you can install TOra via APT through this command : $ sudo apt-get build-dep tora

Feb 21, 2011 · I am a Debian user, so the TOra that can be installed from the repositories does not offer native support for Oracle for licensing (and freedom) reasons. The same feature is present in the package distributed by Ubuntu. If you are also trying to get Oracle support in TOra, bear with me.

Billy~Verreynne Aug 21, 2007 8:01 AM ( in response to Sohil ) Assuming that you've downloaded TOra with OCI support, this could mean that TOra is not seeing the OCI client drivers and therefore not presenting you with an option to connect via an Oracle client driver.
