Jan 08, 2013 · It works fine on my laptop running Windows 7. File system says UDF. When I try to play it on my other laptop running Windows XP Pro, it says the disc is empty, and file version is Raw. I updated the XP laptop with all service packs-HELP!! I have the very same problem, please help, cannot read a DVD-R burned with Windows 7 on a Windows XP machine.

Jun 22, 2004 · Windows 2k has native support for reading UDF 1.50, XP probably the same, so there shouldn't be any need for writing fs device drivers as such. I'm not up to the task myself, so I don't really know UDF 2.0 and higher is not (yet) supported. One big advantage (among many others) with UDF is ofcourse the support for >2GB files.
