1. Exit Steam and delete "ClientRegistry.blob" in the Steam folder. 2. Delete the "bin" folder in "Steam\steamapps\<Account name>\team fortress 2" 3. Start Steam. 4. Right-click on Team Fortress 2 in Steam Library and select "Properties" > "Local Files" and then press "Verify Integrety of Game Cache..." 5. Try to start TF2 again.
