Jan 08, 2010 · My environment is: server 2003 sp2 sccm sp2 wsus 3.0 sp2 I am trying to enable unknown computer support with the PXE service point properties and unfortunately that check box is not available? Does this option work with server 2003 or do I need server 2008? I tried uninstall the PXE service point and WDS, restarted the server.

Jun 26, 2019 · The CM01 (SCCM server) communicates with the unknown client pc (HP Z420 - x64 architecture with Win10Pro x64 already installed) as packets are sent and received 100% (I've even used F8 to ping to the server from the client pc successfully).

Jun 08, 2009 · Unknown Computer support in SCCM 2007 is a great feature, but recently I had trouble getting the thing to work. Basically all computers that are not in the SCCM database will be treated as Unknwon computers (either x86 or x64), so when a new computer boots up it will automatically receive advertisements for these objects.Author: Frode Henriksen

Main reason for the upgrade is the unknown computer support. Pre-R2 I used the pxe filter which worked fine. Now, I have installed R2, and enabled in the ConfigMgr PXE service point the option "enable unknown computer support".
