Dec 21, 2014 · The detail window showed "Volume repair complete" almost immediately. But for almost four hours now, it's been stuck on "Updating boot support partitions for the volume as required." Meanwhile, Activity Monitor has been showing fsku_hfs taking 30%-85% of the CPU the whole time. Anyone have advice?

Feb 03, 2018 · You misread the message. It actually says, "Updating Boot Support Partitions for the volume as required." All it means is that Disk Utility is doing some behind the scenes maintenance to keep bootable disks bootable, and you don't have to do anything.
