    May 26, 2015 · USB 3.0 is not recognized by XP Mode because there is no driver for it and it is unlikely Microsoft will publish one until USB 3.0 is standardized. Curently I know of at least two differnt manufacturers of USB 3.0 chips and they each use different drivers. So, there is no solution at this time for XP Mode to recognize USB 3.0 ports.

    Jun 01, 2016 · There are plenty drivers for USB 3.0 that work OK on XP. But that's the wrong question: there wasn't and there still isn't any driver for *Intel* USB 3.0 on XP. And since *a lot* of machines are notebooks/netbooks/tablets with Intel chipsets, all one can do is use their ports as USB 2.0.
