Mar 08, 2010 · a good reason why Microsoft should consider making a Windows 7 Service Pack 2 - include USB 3.0 drivers into W7 SP2 (hey, MSFT included USB 2.0 drivers into Win2000 SP4 and the 3 SPs for WinXP). Windows 7 is still in mainstream support until January 2015 and we should be able request improvements into W7 until that time.

Nov 17, 2015 · #1. Involute. No USB 3.0 support in fresh Win7 x64 reinstallation. My system crashed the other day necessitating a fresh reinstallation of Win7 Pro x64. Everything seems to be back to normal except my USB 3.0 HDD isn't recognized on either of the two USB 3.0 ports (Asustek motherboard), though it works fine on the USB 2.0 ports.
