Mar 22, 2016 · The keyboard and mouse on one of our office's computer (older HP 6000-Pro) suddenly stopped working. I've tried using different keyboards and mice. I've also tried going into the Bios to see if the Legacy USB Support was enabled, but it's not listed anywhere in the bios. I reset the Bios settings to default, etc., but nothing is working.

I was able to get past the keyboard/mouse issue by using the PS2 port with an older Microsoft Wheel Mouse and a usb/ps2 adapter. ... May 13, 2017 · and BAM, no more working KB/mouse in BIOS. same USB port (using USB2.0), same everything. lucky had an old PS2 keyboard around and it works. tried any BIOS USB settigns legacy, auto, disabled etc, nothing. Windows is working fine. Updated to F4 again and still USB KB/mouse not working. am i doing something wrong?

Nov 10, 2016 · I have no idea if this is as ASRock thing or if this is a common problem across all UEFI boards. I ended up having to disable legacy usb because the computer would never boot up when my xbox controller was plugged in and sometimes wouldn't boot with just the keyboard and mouse plugged in. I guess it's time to switch to a PS/2 keyboard.
