Jul 06, 2018 · To edit and compile VB6 code you need the VB6 IDE, which is also part of Visual Studio 6.0. If you do not have the VB6 IDE you can download it from Microsoft if you have the appropriate MSDN subscription or you can buy second-user copies from Ebay or similar sites. Fortunately VB6 is still supported on Windows 10/Windows Server 2016.

Mar 08, 2015 · As for VB6 support, that would be awesome...like @ckuhn203 said, unit testing wouldn't work, but I can see the improved navigation, code inspections and refactorings be useful in a VB6 environment.. only thing is, I don't have a VB6 IDE to play with - if you have one, and want to contribute, we'll be more than happy to accept a pull request ...

May 28, 2016 · While Microsoft doesn't support the Visual Basic 6.0 IDE, it has been tested on OS versions up to Windows 8.1. Strangely, Windows 10 is missing, though if you have a copy handy (or an MSDN subscription) it's easy enough to try yourself.
