This is a service issue that has happened to me a few times, not to anyone else in this house and we all have the same verizon service. My phone tends to on rare occasion say that I do have signal, but I cannot send/recieve texts or calls, as soon as I try to call my signal drops to no bars.

Right now the Droid 2 R2D2 and the LG Ally are the same price online. The Droid 2 R2D2 is a WAY WAY better phone. It's much faster, supports a lot more apps, and has a larger, better screen/keyboard. I'd get that instead of the Ally (not that the Ally is bad, just that the Droid 2 is better!).

I have had a lot of issues with my Ally. I have tried to play nice with the Verizon tech people but they don't seem to know much about this phone either. I have decided I will not use Wifi on the phone because it will not switch in and out of Wifi/3G networks without having to turn the Wifi on and off. Verified that with 3 tech support people.
