Apr 10, 2011 · This is entirely up to the RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) functionality on the board. If it has support for creating a mirror array non-destructively, it’s possible it will work. You can try installing the drivers for the raid controller prior to enabling it and test.

Mar 26, 2009 · The software RAID feature of both RAID 0 and RAID 1 are only supported in the Server operating system and you are not allowed to create RAID in Windows Vista OS. For the client computer, we recommend our customer to purchase the RAID controller card to build the hardware RAID.

Dec 24, 2019 · I've tried downloading the Windows 2000/Windows XP/Windows 2003 drivers for my RAID controlled, but they wouldn't work either, not a big surprise. I've tried setting the discs to dynamic discs, and then making a raid but Windows Vista just doesn't support raid 1 as far as I know.

Dec 20, 2009 · Replace either broken disk(computer off, unless hot swapping in raid 1 is supported) and then go to raid manager and rebuild the raid 1,,no data loss, in raid 1 for 2 drives each drive is identical.

Tech staff at the Microsoft store say they are being blocked from upgrading my Pavillion 410t desk top to Windows 10 by the settings HP installed when HP built my computer with my RAID 1 array, and that they have successfully done the upgrade on this model PC when RAID was not installed.
