Jul 09, 2012 · I'm looking for a UPS for a stand-alone Dell R710 server running VMware vCenter Server v5.0. I currently have it plugged into an APC 1500 SC but quickly found that wasn't going to fly with VMware. I need something that will safely shutdown the server in the event of a prolonged power outage.

In fact, ESXi 4.0 DOES support Jumbo Frames on VMkernel networking interfaces. The correction will hopefully appear in a new release of the documentation, but in the meantime, go ahead and configure Jumbo frames for your ESXi 4.0 hosts.
