I'm asking because it's pretty lame and I don't want to pay the extra money in the future, if there is cheaper support. When I call in with Platinum Support, they tell me 8 hours call back, you can wait in queue, but it's a long time.

May 01, 2007 · I'm fairly sure the gold support is staffed by the same folks as the platinum, with the only difference being the response times. That said, I've been happy with VMWare's support, can't say I've had an issue they haven't responded to within their stated SLA and with knowledgeable support.
