Mar 22, 2007 · Workstation 5.5.1 & above states that they support wireless networks with Windows OS. I have a built in Wireless NIC on the host as well as I have installed another Wireless NIC (WiFi) and although they show up in the network configuration whither I bridge them or assign them a specific VMnet interface they never get an IP address assigned to the VMware client.

While pressing Ctrl key, select both your wireless and recently created local loop network. right click on it and create the bridge. Now in virtual network editor in vmware, select the network with type "Bridged" and change Bridged to option to the recently created bridge. You will then have access to network via wifi card.

Dec 22, 2006 · You do not NEED wireless support in the guest. The guest ALWAYS sees a wired NIC - usually an AMD PCnet Lance card. If your host can see and use your wireless connection, then VMware can pass that connection to the guest.
