As you are aware, the Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS) is in the process of migrating our Virginia Pre-Hospital Information Bridge (VPHIB) dataset from the National EMS Information System (NEMSIS) Version 2 to NEMSIS Version 3 standards (VAv3) for local, state and national collection of EMS patient care data.

The VPHIB program was based on the NEMSIS Version 2 data set which was retired nationally on 12/31/2016.
