Based upon biblical and theological teachings, one can, reasonably and responsibly, find that an anti death penalty view is not pro life. While some pro-lifers I know (can we agree that they are pro-life?) are also in favor of capital punishment, many are against both. The Catholic Church gets plenty of heat for opposing abortion, but none for opposing the death penalty.
