    Mar 01, 2008 · It's not that the motherboard doesnt support it, it's just that they don't make drivers for 98 SE anymore for the newer systems. So you can't BUT you can leave windows 98 on that drive and pull files from it. A 98 system would have used a IDE, which motherboard will support still.

    Oct 19, 2012 · win-98. Regarding the 775i65G motherboard - it sucks that it only takes DDR ram, and I have my doubts about the SATA controller. I have a Gigabyte socket-370 P-3 motherboard with i875 / ICH5r chipset and unless Intel fixed this at some point, the SATA controller was very unstable when used with Windows 98 (and possibly any NT-based OS).
