You will still want to use your keyboard during gameplay since that is really the simplest way of switching your fighting style and magic type.

Go into steam's big picture mode, and in Controller settings, uncheck all the options in there. Steam's big picture controller support causes conflict with witcher 3 native controller support, therefore if big picture's controller support (or any other 3rd party controller support) is active on your system, witcher 3 will have problems recognizing your controller.

Nov 26, 2012 · To answer the OP, yes it does have controller support and I'd argue it's one of the best controller support implementations I've experienced on PC (beaten only by Metro 2033 in fact). If you're planning on playing with a controller, I'd suggest taking a look at my controller custom config guide on the regular steam forums.
