I tried to install the updated version of BIOS. It gets installed but after install it asks to initiate BiOS setup but when i click ok it says "this system does not contain the necessary wmi support for this version of HPQflash.

Jul 08, 2011 · Don't know exactly the way to flash it back, maybe using patched HPQflash. Good luck. I added patched HPQFlash and Cabpack to my folder, i think it's easy to use, just compress the modded rom file using cabpack with MSZIP compression type and name the cabinet ROM.CAB, put together with the patched HPQFlash and pray

Apr 14, 2009 · I wonder what “ WMI support ” it’s looking for. Dell’s BIOS update packages can optionally use the root\DellOMCI:Dell_Configuration WMI class’ FlashBios WMI method, but I don’t believe that the OMCI is required in order to run a Dell BIOS update from Windows.

Aug 29, 2017 · There is no 64-bit version of the HPQFlash included in the softpaq for this BIOS update, but it works fine from the GUI. There is a bios password and I created a BIOS password bin file using the password tool bundled with the softpaq. I'm using this command: HpqFlash.exe -s -p800g1pass.bin -a lc:\Cabs\InstallLogs\HPBiosUpdate.log
