Mar 13, 2005 · For a long time (especially with the 2.4.x kernels), I’d been using a Linksys WUSB11-V26 with the Atmel RFMD 503 as the wireless NIC for my home network, using the at76c503 driver.It worked pretty well, but then I upgraded to a 2.6.x kernel and while it continued to work for a short time, when we suffered a prolonged power outage, the NIC refused to work when power came back.

Nov 29, 2007 · I have the same card version 4, got a fresh install of 7.10 running, and it is automatic without any drivers. just go to the network setup, wlan, and setup the basics and youre off and running. beats a windows setup hands down. if you go to the Ubuntu forums, networking section, they have a sticky with a list of all the cards, and what it took to get them running

Apr 19, 2015 · Basically the problem is although the adapter uses the RT2870 chipset, the Ralink drivers don't know it yet, so you have to add the name of the adapter and change a few variables to support WPA (the original Ralink driver's README gives instructions on the WPA stuff). So I have bought a Linksys WMP54G ( at the time i do this I haven’t noticed that it isn’t supported by madwifi ..) as Linksys seem to support Linux ( I found a big GPL center on their website ). After 2 weeks ( my f**king webstore is sloww ), I received it.
